Once The River Begins To Run Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Once The River Begins To Run

M-ountains bring water,
H-ills set everything aright;
I-t's the river running by day,
E-ven during the
N-ight.

B-lessings are overflowing,
R-unning not dry neath the sun;
I-mmeasurable joy is felt
O-nce the river begins to run.
N-ow that the river runs,
E-leventh day of November;
S-ay a prayer to the Lord, thanking Him for the water.

D-espite the burning flame
O-f the sky's scorching sun;
L-and will drink from fountain
O-nce the river begins to
R-un.
