Once Upon A Chance Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Once Upon A Chance

Once upon a chance
On the despicable tree
The cross that dealt sin a gross blow
And one thief, his salvation thereon secured
He who despised the Lord, eternal separation, in the instance of time

Well there's no progress in Congress
Neither does the Duma provide the peace the world craves for
The Knesset or the pope have tried, instead fanned the fire
Some have sought it in seminaries
Others in books but its's all crooks and spooks

Once upon a chance
On the despicable tree
The cross that dealt sin a gross blow
And one thief, his salvation thereon secured
He who despised the Lord, eternal separation, in the instance of time
