Once Upon A Time On Pacific Coast And Sante Fe Poem by Anthony Han

Once Upon A Time On Pacific Coast And Sante Fe

There is this street located in Long Beach
Lot of ma and pa stores one would say
There is El Sol bakery in front of the Police Station
Liquor store with the goods we get around
The local Admiral Kidd park is the chillest spot

Chi-mole and all sorts of fun
Soccer to play pens and such
Neighborhood I hear has had it rough
Yet everyone is getting along well
For a outsider like myself

I realized how much I miss it at times
Cabrillo High School surrounds most of these
Do not forget the local Long Beach Job Corps
All in all the place that started the crop
Lot of good people around just not enough love

Many places just like these could receive
A little more help on the way I believe
Of course I am just a twenty year old experience
My favorite one is the Brisket American Grill
P-Lay game place right on the side
There are Hispanic restaurants there

Everywhere just waiting to be shared
I just hope they stay well like ours
O man such places like these
Made me feel like i am at home
So please visit such places more
We could help by just visiting every now and then

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired by the nice people of the street of Sante Fe. A mysterious place that like many alike a self contributing neighborhood. They have just enough to get by, but not enough help. I feel that places like these and many I have seen. Could be great places to visit on our free time. For south Californians these are adventurous places to be. Just make sure you research the area better I must say before I leave this write.

The idea was also popped in my head from 'Chicken Soup for the Soul'.
