One By His Wife, World-Departing Poem by james watkin

One By His Wife, World-Departing

Rose-faced world of re-awakenings
Dawn-frequent; and tender all.
Coaxed out mist's death-like mystique
Each as Sun's beloved, unique
Rising up to recall.

Your last, dear, wonderment of wonderment's
Smiling-refrained 'Light, more Light! '
Drawn as these, if oppositely
For which horizon's gold, Godly
Is too too lovingly bright!
