One Day Mum Poem by Lu Vernezze

One Day Mum

Rating: 4.0

Mum,
I mite not always call you
Whenever you want to know
Where i am and what i’m doing
And where i’m gonna go

But i don't do it on a purpose
I don't want you to worry all the time
I'm just chilling with my mates
Maybe sharing a bottle of wine

Maybe one day
I hope i can make you really proud of me
I might never tell you i'm glad you’re my mum
But i always am and always will be

You raised me
Fed me
Clothed me
And help me out when i've reached the brink
I can't list everything you've done for me
Cos i'd surely run out of ink

I know you worry
But in a way, i’m kinda glad you do
And i know that that sounds selfish
But i know that if you worry you still care too

I know i don't always show it
But I love you more then i can say
We've got a bond
That will last forever
An noone could take away

Thank you
