One Eyed Jack Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

One Eyed Jack

Just call me one eyed jack.
A man who lost half his vision.
Metaphorically speaking, or am I?
The optical illusion, felt that on a whole new level.
Enough jokes and pity to go around.
But no stopping me.
A bull in China shop that is the size of a small closet.
Smash there goes more breaking glass, don't worry I got it if my depth perception will allow me too.
Brings a whole new meaning to looks can be decieving.
It's like I'm fighting a whole new demon.
Constantly adjusting and adapting to my environment.
Relying on the surrounding sounds, and less on sight.
Deciphering the guiding light.
Too bright, too dark.
Trying to find the unsettling ground in which to place my aching feet.
I'm not angry, I'm not depressed, it actually gives a new meaning to my life.
So excited about the challenges that come with.
Finding my limits and capabilities all over again.
No regrets mistakes happen, and there is no going back now.
