One Of Maryborough's Finest Poem by Francis Duggan

One Of Maryborough's Finest

Raven wavy hair to her shoulders and eyes of light brown
She is one of the finest in Maryborough Town
On her nineteenth birthday with time on her side
She dreams of adventures in Countries Worldwide
From Maryborough her future may well be elsewhere
As she plans for to travel in the big World out there
Her journey in life will take her far away
From where she first looked on the bright lamp of day
A beautiful young woman free of conceit and guile
With natural charm in her friendly smile
The great gift of youth is a wonderful thing
And the praises of youthful beauty poets does sing
Wavy raven hair to her shoulders and eyes of light brown
She is one of the finest in Maryborough Town.
