One of them we ask for connecting us,
To God sitting somewhere hidden;
One of them we ask for giving us,
Miracles and supernatural powers;
One of them we ask for granting us,
Kashfulquloob¹! and Kashfulquboor²;
One of them we ask for being our savior,
For the expiation of our sins (atonement) ;
One of them we ask for being our,
Intercessor on the Day of Judgement;
One of them we ask for giving us,
Insurance cover against all misfortunes;
One of them we ask for giving us,
Wealth and welfare beyond measure;
One of them we ask for giving us,
The ability to forecast the future;
One of them we ask for giving us,
Protection against the enemies;
One of them we ask for saving us,
From evil eye, and magical spell;
No! No! we believe any one of our gods,
Possesses all these divine powers.
We have blind belief in our false gods,
And think they're our helpers;
We think our false gods are generous,
Merciful and beneficent;
To meditate on them we carve their idols,
From the rocks or imagination;
In their honour we raise temples and,
Mausoleums with domes and minarets.
When some people dare to challenge,
Our false beliefs and superstitions,
We tell them:
'Our gods will curse you, '
And we label them as mad infidels,
And charge them of brazen blasphemy.
It is very convenient to protect our false religion,
So that nobody among us could speak up,
Against our false gods;
Some false gods live with us, some within us, and,
Some in graves or imagination;
We believe our false gods have all power,
To grant us wishes and punishments,
Much the way the Great God can.
