One Regret Poem by Jim Yerman

"In all our years together, " she asked him, "from the moment we first met
have you been happy with your life…do you have any regrets? "

He smiled and didn't take long to answer…
"Thinking back from the moment we fist met, "
"In all our years together I do have one regret."

"It's a regret that every day with you
has grown a little stronger…
I wish that I had met you sooner
so we could have been together longer."
