Only Few - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

“I am thief” I raised voice in valley
It came back with same intensity
What a reflection from inner voice!
Even the hills respond without choice

Yes that is truthfulness of mind
It bears in mind but speaks unkind
Hurts feelings and enjoys
Youth and wealth makes him blind with joy

The mirrors speaks no truth
It reflects nothing from underneath
It reflects outer show
The outfit suits you to grow

The inner wall of conscience stands like glass
It has its own quality with class
It knows what to do or not
Double mind sets condition to be clearly caught

Basically human being is very kind
See the lot many people serving blind
Some are helping poor
And some are distributing food door to door

Only few people bring slur on good name
Everybody is aware of bad name with blame
No one wants to be called unreasonable
Inhuman and hated person among people
