Only See Colored People Poem by Hebert Logerie

Only See Colored People

Rating: 5.0

This can be extremely controversial,
Educational, and inspirational.
This can be hard for a lot of you
To swallow.

This is absolutely colorful,
Revolutionary, and masterful.
This is about what’s real and true;
This is about the rainbow.

I have seen Caucasians
Never white people.
I have seen Asians
Never yellow people.
I have seen Indians
Never red people.
I have seen Indians
Never brown people.
I have seen Africans
Never black people
I have seen Americans
Never purple people.
This is very fascinating;
Most of us fall somewhere, on the darn chart,
While others act dumb and ignorant, not smart
To realize that the string,
The blood, the organs, which link us together,
Are more important than the false beliefs
Or creeds, which we have espoused at the dawn of all myths.
We are worse than imagined and can be better,
If we honestly look in the mirror,
And ask many pertinent questions about ourselves:
Who are we? Where are we stored on the shelves?
Are we part of the joy or part of the terror? …

I ponder
And wonder.
I imagine and I guess.

I only see colored guests
On the planet
And colored fish in the net.
This is real and true,
Nevertheless the rainbow is about you,
And me; and all of us
Thrown naked on the cross.

In general term you're talking about racism. This is realistic, believable on those people who believe in equality. I appreciate the deep meaning of each line, to see people in their nationality not on their cover colours. The good author unites earth into one single world Well done!
