Open Ended Poem by Jonathan ROBIN

OPEN ENDED

Is silence golden where speech stays ashamed
to hold up to bright spotlight's piercing glare
thoughts far from spotless? Must one then be blamed
when inmost feelings are exposed to share?
Who little thought to feel the lightning strike,
topple age-old certainties, finds door,
once triple locked, is sprung, unsportsmanlike.
Yet that which leaves me poor, rich makes me more.
Rich am I knowing love, my view is clear,
poor too through knowing what I lacked before
shows me how lost I was, who held self dear.
This understanding helps self ‘self' abhor.
Heart here uncovers open-ended hope
in future promise, harmony and scope...
