Open Up Hands
I was delighted
As inner lamps lighted
Some new thoughts emerged
Why should I not free self from cage?
So far I was concerned
For tables to be turned
In favor and swing
There was no other song to sing
I prayed for well being
To have all comforts as human being
Never thought of poor and down trodden
That idea never struck even
I could hear screams
They were striking in form of beams
I could hear sobbing voice of pain
It was striking ear drums and remained
I thought for a while
And decided to open other file
No more activity for self in future
Before life could end its tenure
I do not know how it appeared
But I was suddenly feared
Yes life is not to be spent for well being alone
There is something more to be done
We owe many things for our brethren
Who live with hardship and need something to be done
They are not asking any favor
Yet it is our privilege and honor to offer
Open up hands do donate
Liberally and freely to date
Hear their woes and sympathize with struggle
Guide them in whichever way it is possible
