Open Your Mind Poem by David Harris

Over the years as a writer
many people have asked me
how can I learn to write.
I always tell them to look around
and open your mind to everything,
for within everything is a story
just waiting to be told.
Use your imagination to open
that Pandora's Box for the story.
Everything living or any inanimate object
holds within it a story.
To become a writer is to find it
and write its story.
