Ordinary Man* Poem by Ian Bowen

Ordinary Man*

I love my life
and all who sail in her.

Obviously there have been times
when my nuts have been squeezed
by the clenched fists
of those who want what I possess.

I however, have come through.

Keeping sanity alive, in a head
that always listened to reason,
I drank from a cup,
full of family love...

and became proud
to be this ordinary man.
