Orion Poem by Lauren Michaels

Orion

Rating: 5.0

Orion trembles at my windowsill
Tonight she wears her vulnerability.
Like weakness, she toys with me.

Because she shines in her agelessness
The flickering motion is those that watch her.
From one lifetime to the next.

I tell her my secrets
In exchange for dreamless sleep.
Confident we will wait it out
Together.

Orion shines at my windowsill
Deceptive in her unflinching strength.
Triumphant in her years.

I am the one trembling
Buried for generations
before she can hear the secret I tell her.

Very lovely Lauren. Love the idea of personalizing the stars in such a way. Thanks.
