Other Wise Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Other Wise

Let us not shade crocodile tears
And express fear
When everything is here
To dispel or to bear

Do you think it shall serve?
When you think and observe
The negative part
And refuse to be part

How can we say good suffers
And bad prospers?
It is our creation
To fail in corrective relation

We all know world is treacherous
Cruel and poisonous
Yet we do no stop living
And believing

You sing or cry
But never feel shy
Of facing reality
That will be sheer futility

There is no other land
If you can not befriend here
Learn to cope with rivalry
And then satisfy self if felt necessary
