There was a time
When I was happy with
My many brothers and sisters
We were poor and hungry
But we were not angry
There was a time
When our home had two rooms
We rolled on the floor
In the heat and in the cold
But we were happy
We killed hunger with water
But we did not hate each other
Now we have big houses
We have enough to eat
Parents are gone
We lived in distant places
But we don't have time
To meet each other
For we have forgotten
Those days of poverty and hunger
