Our Destination Poem by Ehsan Ehsan

Our Destination

OUR DESTINATION
We were tired and stopped in the shade of eve
We did not know how long we had to travel still
Our eyes had a destination in them but we could not see
We felt only that we would reach where we wanted
We passed the night in peace to receive the morning
We had a clear sweet choice before us
In our hearts we had a blushing grace and pleased surprise
We were not alone our God was also with us
Our determination was unwavering and our will strong
Our feet were tired but no defeated
We were stable and following the prints
Which were marked on earth by our forefathers
By which we felt that we had to discover
A new land where all the human beings
Would enjoy a brotherly love among them
A sympathy that would be prevailing all along
Where the battles and wars would be unknown
Where there would be neither exploitation nor exploiters
Where there would be no lust and no cheating
Where people would have only food for the next time
Where weaker would have the privilege of the stronger
Where women would enjoy the right of human beings
My heart says our destination is coming nearer and nearer!
