'' Our Final Days '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Our Final Days ''

Rating: 5.0

In days gone by,
We lived a lie,
To exile on Earth we were placed,
Our creators did try,
But we refused to comply,
We left them feeling disgraced.

I've now been tasked,
To get questions asked,
All about the origins of life,
The truth's been masked,
In mystery it's basked,
Theories and tall tales are rife.

Who are we?
Is that the key?
The truth is nobody knows,
You cause a melee,
Then refuse to see,
The flaws that you ultimately expose.

Why are we here?
Is crystal clear,
You do whatever you please,
Instilling fear,
Refusing to adhere,
In effect, you're a deadly disease.

Where are we going?
Ask the all-knowing,
The one who keeps out of sight,
Never showing,
Continually crowing,
Truth is you're not very bright.

What is this place?
That we now deface,
Who put us here and why,
As the human race,
Are a total disgrace,
They decided you'd come here to die.

Banished you were,
But you didn't care,
You continued your sick errant ways,
As above us they stare,
They are fully aware,
We are entering,
