Our Sisters Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Our Sisters

Our sisters

Our sisters,
His and mine!

His is alive,
Forever, all the time.

His father worked for shah,
Our father worked in the farms.

His could afford operating her nose,
She fixed her nose because,
Shah told her: "Is big, like mine! "

My sister lived as if never born,
She was an ignored,
Even by her own mother! ! !

Hear me people,
I tell you to:
"Rewrite,
Rewrite, Rewrite."

Rewrite the history,
Rewrite the biographies.

Write another Old Testament,
Amusing, and filled with lies.

Act as did the liar in a village,
Lie as did that trickster,
Or the charlatan, or magician.

He told my sister:
"It is the work of demon! "

Demon, as he said,
Killed her children!

She died as if never born,
She gave her life to defend,
The born and unborn children!
