Our Todays Poem by David Harris

Our Todays

Sometimes we look at our yesterdays
and wish our todays were like them,
forgetting that our todays
maybe better than our yesterdays were.
We look at the friends we had then,
forgetting we may have more friends now.
We think our life was filled with roses
and forget the roses we have now.
Our memory excludes the heartaches,
only showing good things from yesterday,
and then we look around us
at all that we have and think
maybe that our todays
are not that bad at all.
