Out Of Africa Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Out Of Africa

Words,
Out of Africa;
Love,
Out of Africa;
Muse,
Out of Africa;
Works,
Out of Africa;
Hope,
Out of Africa;
Colours,
Out of Africa;
And, to speak in other languages,
But, what does the ways of the African people mean to you?

The muse of life and the muse of Africa!
To write in other languages,
To read in other languages,
Like your new wine presented to your lover;
Carried out to settle the ways of peace.

Peace and unity!
Played, pay, lay, lad, lead, pad, led, deal, peal, pale, ale;
With the muse of life and the ways of the African people,
As one walks across the continent.
Life, live!
With the muse of the sunflower;
Chill, hill!
With the colours of African people;
Greeting each other with a smiling face.
