Overcoming Poem by Rowland Howells Tonye Orumbie

Overcoming Life

Life's a dream in a dream
An abyss of false awakes
Closing my sees to sleep
Waking up at my wake.

Nothing lasts forever
I stack my worries on a pyre
So nothing to fuel my rage
I let my passion start the fire.

Making sure my mettle
Is made up of metal and might
And my goals more precious
Than the stars that shines bright.

Striving to do much more
Making the most of each passing hour,
Never to grow sore
At life's unending dour.

Really a motivational piece of poetry written with clarity of thought and mind. Insightful and philosophical. Thanks for sharing.
