Packing Up For The Morning Journey Poem by Luo Zhihai

Packing Up For The Morning Journey

★ Packing Up for the Morning Journey

☆ Poetry by Ouyang Zhan (755-800, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

In the village inn rose a west moon
A bird sounded in the hill trees
All night the light shone the booze
Packing up for the morning journey
Silently people were fast asleep
And it’s not day break still
How can I have no resting heart?
But all the things what I do just for the future at last

★ 晨装行

☆ 欧阳詹 诗

村店月西出
山林鹎鵊声
旅灯彻夜席
束囊事晨征
寂寂人尚眠
悠悠天未明
岂无偃息心
所务前有程
