I knew you would be trouble
right from the start.
I should've known better
but I still gave you my heart.

Deep down I knew
We would end up this way.
I'm always hoping the next time
would be the time that you would stay.

I had my walls up for so long
You tried so hard to get inside.
I was so charmed by your words
which turned out to be just lies.

I finally let you in
You took all you could and left.
You came back into my life
and then just turned it to a mess.

My weakness was my love for you
It blinded me for so long.
Now I can finally see
just how much you've done me wrong.

I look at you different now
we will never be the same.
Why give you the chance again
to cause so much pain.
