Pandora's Box Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

Pandora's Box

Pandora, the duaghter of Zeus
Beloved wife of Epimethus
The wise and kind brother
Of Great God, Promethus
Opened the secret box
Full of ugly creatures
Who were to represent all the
Ill feelings of mankind,

The day of her disobedience
Was the victory of the evil
Among human race on earth
But subject to one option
Because her wisdom and
Power of judging the good
From the bad, she had released
The final creature of the Lords,

Little but strong, meek but immortal
The true messenger of the holy
Kingdom of Olympus, the Hope,
The rectifier of the agonies
Of human beings, after being totured
By the said ugly creatures
hatred, lust, greed, jealousy etc.

The man for generations living with
The said Hope for betterment,
The King and/or the Priest
has forced to evolve the said Hope
In to different destinations
creating fantacies beyond the death,
For their own benefit.
