Panic (Fun Poem 162) Poem by David Harris

Panic (Fun Poem 162)

Panic (Fun Poem 162)

Things happen to all of us,
a quiet normal day
can suddenly turn topsy turvy
when panic strides in.
We lose or misplace something important.
Instead of thinking logical
our brain goes into reverse
as we search and search,
finding nothing our panic increases.
We find that we cannot sleep
as what we’ve lost plays on our mind.
Into another day we go wild eyed
looking and looking
and most of the time in our panic
we overlook what we are looking for.
Calming down we look again
and low and behold there it is
what we were searching for.
Closing our eyes and shaking our head
we wonder what we were panicking about.
