Paper Heart Poem by Lisa French

Paper Heart

You ripped it
You broke it
You scrunched it
You smoked it

You tore it
You glued it
You cut it
You chewed it

You shred it
You beat it
You burn it
You heat it

You break it
You fold it
You dropp it
You sold it

Just take my paper heart
As you don’t deserve the real
Do whatever you like
Cause there’s nothing left to heal
