Party Destroyer Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Party Destroyer

If an invitation,
Is meant to not send,
To anyone known...
Not sought or wanted to attend.
Yet ignores the request,
To keep their distance...
And not upset invited guests.
There is no explanation needed.
When a pest has shown,
A knack to create havoc.
With an enforcing to have it had.
Including the party of one's own.
Others may have sat and condoned.
But this mess that threatens,
Will not be left anywhere else.
To be consciously requested.
Knowing what to expect to reject it.

"How stupid can people get?
When I alone can bring them,
Not only attention.
But TV ratings,
Guaranteed to go through the roof."

-Sir?
We have supplied for your use,
Gasoline and other multiple devices.
To amplify your expectations.-

"Great.
Call the media.
And have them set up the cameras."

-Everyone is prepared.
And await for further instructions.-

"Nothing is more satisfying,
Than being pro-active.
And...
For the life of me,
I will never understand...
Why I am always accused,
For not knowing what entertains."

-Sir?
Many are still disbelieving,
You are a master at it.-

"Will you stop with that!
You should know by now,
No one flatters me better than I can.
Notify my glam squad.
I want to look the part of a warrior."
