Paso Dople Flamenco Poem by D.N. Rebb

Paso Dople Flamenco

Binary rhythm
As the streetlights dim
One front of other
Brave touch o' color
Bodies parallel
Spin like carousel
Slightly to the left
She traces his chest
One step per tempo
Composing their show
His left hand cradles
Her right one persuades
A permanent bond
United beyond

Passion driven fire
Intense desire
Stamping of the feet
Rhythm adding heat
With cool precision
Fierce competition
As castanets snap
And onlookers clap
The fan, chief prop, flirts
Guitars weep of thirst
Overall portray
A lustful ballet
World-class performance
Between two dear friends
