Pass Away Poem by Patti Masterman

Pass Away

Pass away, pass away, pass away
Judgment; for who am I to judge another-
Who've killed in my heart, many a time-
Father, mother, sister, brother?

Pass away, pass away, pass away
Love; love is for daisies, rained on by god-
Not for dysfunctional freaks like me-
Who thought love could save me, but it can't be.

Pass away, pass away, pass away
Breath; breathing's for those lived through many tests-
I've run out of courage, run out of rope-
Worst of all, I'm all out of hope.
