Passage Of Time - Poem by Heather Burns

Grass remains lush
forest green
if properly watered
and fed
without fades turns

petals drop from
a flower
slips softly to the

breezes catch a leaf
whirling around
casting it away

Tree limbs dry up
breaks off, falls

He stopped to weep
teared in
harmony with the
passage of time.

Petals falling, leaves on the ground, tree limbs drying up all showing passage of time. Feelings resonating. Beautifully presented. Thank you. (Report) Reply

I booked passage with the ship of time
But I was late, she set sail at nine
Sadly I went home and threw my bags on bed
I felt like I was dead
But then a knock upon my door
what fool is this I was to implore
The good ship Time has run aground now
All hands were lost, ripped off the bow
And I thought was it providence that to this I owe.
No you just missed the boat is all I want you to know.

    Time is a great healer.
But I would rather choose before having to be healed.
Sweet poem. Although with a touch of despair
    I like it.
