Passing The Test Of Time Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Passing The Test Of Time

Rating: 5.0

Lamenting lost childhood
Floating on a white puffy cloud
Forgetting about all of the sadness
Frowning smiling to be discovered
Laughter just around the corner
Listening only to the tone of yesterday
Tasting sweetness bitterness bitter sweetness
In this magical adventure
Crying over silly little things dissecting a frog
Laughing playing hide and seek
A child building sandcastles
Touching the sands of time

You're older now younger at heart
Tag you're it now the game begins
Smelling the pungent and the rose
In the romanticism of now
Only to find the dark recesses of your mind
Voices from nowhere haunting you
Buried memories surfacing
Guiding you keeping you from harm
God smiling His child learning
Passing the final test...Time...
