Just stop. Now close your eyes.
Breathe in. Now smile
and open wide
and you may see the sunlight,
leaves, a dusty road
the endless blue
of sky, of sea
you can feel the wind
can taste the brie
enjoy that cup of tea
and right there
in that moment
is the peace
not hours in the future
when the laundry's done
but now
while you have hands
and mind and spirit
gathered altogether
yourself, at rest,
just stopped,
just for the passage of a breath
a blink
before you do the next thing
on your list.
