Dancing Between The Stars Poem by Midnight Clarity

Dancing Between The Stars

Rating: 3.5

A gleaming cloud
all framed in silver
will introduce
the lady moon
just shaking out her skirts
to dance among the stars
like stepping stones
across the shadowed sky.

A sad heart whispers
love songs, gently stroking
all the strings that bind it
tightly in the lovelorn chest
that makes each breath
a hope of dreams made flesh
a faith that prayers once asked
are answered with a yes.

A sweet song wraps itself
within a breeze, it ripples
out across the world
that turns in stately cadence
while the moon and stars
all dance as everywhere the ears
of lonely saddened hearts
are touched with music.

Dreams must be dreamed
cast forth and cherished
to grow and come to be.
