Pepe And Little Red Poem by Juan Olivarez

the little red dragon was turning to blue
his fire had gone out, he did'nt know what to do
he tried to re-light it with a match and some gas
and wound up in texas down by eagle pass.

he flew back to china licking his wounds
but crashed on south padre down by the dunes
heart-broken and dizzy from flying too high
he flew south of the border and fell out of the sky.

he walked up to pepe and asked for a drink
but pepe was rotten a real rat fink
he gave him the bottle he had in his hand
and sent little red packing express to his land

lil red is still flying in orbit i think
do you know what pepe gave him to drink?
the chinese say the new fuels a killer
what pepe gave red was a shot of tequila
