Pergamon Where Demons Were Worshipped Poem by Terence George Craddock

Pergamon Where Demons Were Worshipped

Satan ruled earth built power thrones on earth
who claims Satan had an altar at Pergamon
did all people living there worship him there?

The prophet John in the Book of Revelations
Revelation 2: 12-13 New International Version
John wrote thus to the Church in Pergamum

'To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:
These are the words of him who has the sharp,
double-edged sword. I know where you live—

where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true
to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me,
not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness,

who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.'
Satan once had a throne in Pergamon dwelt there
martyred Christians refused to worship at Satan's thrones

Satan built thrones in mighty past empires now dust ruins
empires that rose fell into dust Satan walks in new dust
building new alters for new worshippers who die as dust

demonic power oppressive power lives in all earth ages
Antipas is unyielding faith killed by ISIS Islamic State
Christians martyrs refusing to convert beheaded by ISIS
