each new birth day
might be said to begin
final contractions
labour in the deepest darkness
an hour before dawn
ink black total wilderness
darkness on moonless
night total cloud cover starless
nights slow snail crawls
into tiny fractions tiny fractions
of slow moving slow
approaching light
time moves time comes
when a fingernail
sliver of red light breaks
upon horizon mountain
ridge darkness skyline
dawn is determined
gathering speed
approaching birds
soul inspiring
are dawn chorus
orchestras singing
in so many nature
beautified pristine
wilderness locations
in time spinning
immemorial symphonies
of sound wonder
dawn awe inspiring
will strike pulse
heart beat notes
in any artistic
appreciative souls
sorrow so many
city folk missed
rapture dawn daily
sleep through dawn
awe thrill perpetual
birth new regenerating dawn
