Personal Care Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Personal Care

Rating: 2.8

O mother earth, why not you give away?
Crack the surface and darken the days
How long will you tolerate the dirt and pollution?
Why still nothing n comes from you ac an action?

River water, sea water and water from ground source
They have lost their original charm and force
They are polluted at dangerous level
Any time more of disaster may reveal

Mother is another name for suffering
Sacrifice for entire life with offering
Yet children take no note when fully grown
Their plight remains unheard and unknown

Today there has appeared tragic story in daily news
Mother with 4 grown up children lives in misery
None of four children are ready to share
There is even no one to take their personal care

There is no problem if life is to be spent childless
But what if you have children and still life remains tense?
There is no one at home to say “hello”
Give helping hand for urinal pass or lavatory to go

Joint families are breaking up fast
Even children do not want or trust
Parents suffer for the want of good treatment Economical condition does not help for betterment
