Personal Pride

Rating: 4.0

Why do you sit, staring at A phone, or watching TV,
accomplishing nothing, day after day.

You have created, A mind full of excuses,
To support your actions, as You sit and lean, in the same spot,
every day.

None of us know, when we will die, or if we lived the best part of our life, before today, You, can say your, getting old, another excuse in your mind, You can recite them, any time, any day.

It's negative thinking, that's created your habits, it's easier to hide,
than to get up and try, only you can build up, or destroy, A
Big part of what you will be remembered by,
Your very own personal; pride.

st.3 " ..say your, getting old.." i'm still responsible for my thoughts, words, and actions. (we have no TV) But i don't like to think of myself as having 'personal pride'. Likewise, i'm NOT ashamed of anything i've done, said, thought. i HAVE been sorry for some such things. People are what they are, for whatever reason. If they " improve" themselves and/or those around them, so much the better. But who decides what improvement is? bri :)
