Pesky Priapus Poem by gershon hepner

Pesky Priapus

PESKY PRIAPUS

When pesky Priapus
arrives the lady’s tears,
quite unlike Niobe’s,
cease flowing, and his leers,
not nonplussed and not minus
the inches that will grow
to obviate her dryness,
make other waters flow.

Inspired by Rabbi Jeremy’s comment on my poem, “Do Fertility Goddesses Have Sell-by Dates? ”: 'How I wonder does Linda cope with this priapic you! ! ! ! ! '
