Petty Games - Poem by Sarah Lacy
I’d decided before I became infatuated
With him I was getting over you.
And I guess befriending him
Simply just helped
I got home last night only to realize
I was over you.
My darling, I’m just about to show you
What you were missing.
I’m tired of playing your petty games
You won’t see me waiting around for you anymore
I’ve found someone who’s ready for me
New and won’t play stupid, petty games with me….
What can I say I’m in love
This time though with someone who’ll treat me right
I guess, you’ll have you find a new walk in closet
