Those mountains beckoned every day,
That peaceful place we loved to play.
Surrounded by those trees of green,
We'd sit for hours beside the stream.
As sun shone down upon my face,
I thought back to that lovely place.
When moments then were filled with fun,
Those precious years when I was young.
How can the years go by so fast,
Why can't our childhood forever last.
Somehow I made it to this day,
Those memories never go away.
Each flower i chose i picked for you,
I searched amidst the morning dew.
Just to see your happy face,
So gently in your arms i placed.
A time when i felt young and free,
A special joy for eternity.
Beneath the warmth of summer sun,
I'll not forget those days of fun.
