Piety Poem by gershon hepner

Piety

Letting out of thought the air,
piety may seem prestigious,
but once it’s punctured there’s no spare,
and tires those who’re sacrilegious.

(11/11/07-Norman Mailer, who died on November 10th,2007, said that he detested piety because he felt it let the air out of thought.)
