Pigalle Lady Poem by Alex Grove

Pigalle Lady

They say night is the new day
The early dawn of your profound pray
In a world where two and two is five
And where the stars narrowly shine.

You're the dancing lady of the streets
Showing the way through insane creeps
Under the moonlight of another life
Visible yet dimly out of sight.

You shake gently through that mass
Like time on earth is not meant to pass
Yesterday was like today and today is like tomorrow
And our today is disguised by a veil of sorrow

I really want to stay with you this night
Across this city where you must fight,
And learn to love through a crimson maze
With no time for your limbs to lay.
