Pinch Of Salt Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Pinch Of Salt

Rating: 5.0

“He is orphan an unlucky”
Even though unwelcome in society]
But how beautiful they look in garden
Like fresh colorful flowers even

They are left at orphanage
For other people to manage
They are charitable institutions
Well conversant with human relation

They are aided by many people
Occasionally rich people help in financial problem
The Government too comes to the aid
No one is ready to face criticism when it is laid

We often show our greatness
By adopting child for happiness
It is not out of pity but with some compulsion
They are not blessed with child despite so many obsessions

It is good that new born child is not killed
At least child is left at the gate to be cared
Unwed mother is sorry for such unholy act
But she has no option to face reality in fact

We all know by heart for sure
Those children are our bright future
We leave them for none of their fault
The civil society adds one more pinch of salt
