Pixellated Memories Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

Pixellated Memories

Staring at your picture again
As a tear rolls down my cheek
The pain as fresh as yesterday
Even after weeks and weeks
Your passing was sudden and unexpected
No one thought you'd go
Death swooped in to take you
It came in one fatal blow
We're all here, left without you
I know you're in Heaven now, pain-free
But it hurts to live on Earth without you
And I can't help wishing you'd come back to me
