Plainness Poem by Francois GUIMATSIA

Plainness

Take some time to see the Creation
As an artwork for you to perfect,
Maybe posterity will vindicate you.

Take some time to plough and sow,
And then pray God for ideal weather,
You'll get a good yield of grain.

Take some time with things you value
Trying to savor them as you feel like,
You'll have your nice secret garden.

Take some time to live in relaxation,
To smile and irradiate others with joy,
You'll emit stamina and ebullience.

Take some time, in nature or in books,
To learn so as to avoid going overboard,
You'll gradually become a wise person.

Take sometime to have a big heart,
To love people and believe in God,
You'll one day be among the saints.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
What recipe could parents give their children for a rewarding and serene life? Maybe the open sesame, anywhere in the world, is to balance out the six verbs in the heart of this poem: perfect, pray, savor, smile, learn and love. This can be called the PPSSLL simplicity formula.
