Planet Of The Children Poem by Darrin McMiller Jr.

Planet Of The Children

It’s a short existence
But a long ride
All gone in the blink of an eye
All mighty overseeing ever present
Never leaving receiving life
Through corneas peripheral’s infinity,
At long last we die without seeing the light
Because it’s long past in darkness every sight
Of humanity not a damn thing different
The nature of man is basically unchanged
Pride, Greed, and Envy
Fear, Loneliness, and Sympathy
Struggling alone Suffering in silence
Chaos loud as hell
Evil breaking barriers
Of sound surrounds us
The good in man trembles
And slow to react
In a world of confusion we all seem to relax
Rely on fantasies to dull our senses
And void us of our duties
Assembling in packs distributing our guilt
